Welcome to the 2023 edition of the FAUNA Tepoztlán Animal Festival! We are excited to have you here to celebrate our love of animals and cinematic creativity. This year, we are dedicating the festival to the fight against the captivity of wild animals and against zoos.
We have realized that there are many people in the world who do not understand the importance of keeping wild animals in their natural habitat. The capture and imprisonment of animals for our entertainment is not only cruel, but also has a negative impact on our planet’s ecosystems and biodiversity. At this festival, we want to educate people about the cruelty of captive animals and why it’s important to fight against zoos and other institutions that keep animals in captivity.
